Title – Security Supervisor

Pay Rate – £12.29, per hour.

Location – Nottingham

Shift Timings – 4 on 4 off nights, 1900-0700

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a security supervisor, to be based in a professional government based building in Nottingham. For this role, you will be required to manage a team of staff, ensuring the day to day security operations runs smoothly and effectively. The right candidate must be confident in their ability to manage a team of staff, as well as respond and manage any emergency situations that may occur.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Manage the day-to-day Security operations
• Be the first point of contact for the Security team managing components such as uniform standards, investigations and disciplinary’s, performance, and ensure the correct conduct is followed, including adhering to assignment Instructions
• Assist in on-going training to the current security team, as well as ensure all new security officers are fully trained and inducted to the site procedures and policies including CCTV, access control systems, deliveries and removals, fire alarms and intruder alarm
• Promote and implement teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods
• To assist in any security / equipment investigations, i.e. thefts, missing items, complaints etc.
• Liaise with both the customer and client
• Ensure a thorough security handover is given to all security personnel to avoid any operational issues

To succeed in this role, you will need the following :

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a security supervisor
• MG or DS licence
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Have proven knowledge on how to manage a team effectively
• Have good communication skills, and be confident in their ability to communicate to both staff, customers and clients

• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure, working as part of a team.
• Have proven organisations skills
• Be competent in IT, with an understanding on Excel, Word and incident reporting.
