Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

Pay: £85 - £95 per day

Job Description:

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a lovely secondary school in Congleton. If you have experience in a similar role or with child-based work and possess the energy and engaging personality required to connect with secondary school students, we want to hear from you!

About the role:

  • Provide classroom support to students
  • Assist with managing classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement effective teaching strategies
  • Offer 1:1 support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Provide pastoral care and support as required
  • Opportunity for permanent placement based on performance

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably as a teaching assistant
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different learning needs and styles
  • Commitment to supporting student development and well-being
  • Understanding of the UK Schools curriculum
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
  • Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo one
