Hays Education are currently seeking Secondary School Supply Teachers to work within the Bristol area.

Highly respected within the education sector, Hays works exclusively with numerous schools in the Bristol area and are currently experiencing an increase in demand for supply teachers.


Your new roleJoining Hays as a Supply Teacher means you will be working on both a short and long-term basis, which can be anything from one day through to full terms and even a full academic year. On a short-term basis, there will be no planning and preparation required, you will simply be responsible for managing a classroom and ensuring all pupils are on task, as well as ensuring all behaviour is appropriate. When working on a longer-term assignment, you will be required to complete planning and preparation, as well as the marking and assessment of pupils' work. Working as a supply teacher can offer you an attractive work-life balance, and you can also have the flexibility to work when you want, even on a part-time basis.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
  • Recent experience teaching experience in a Secondary School.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.

The role is being advertised on a temporary basis but with the potential for this to be a long-term placement for the right candidate. You will have your own timetable and deliver improvements and results for your own classes. You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience and the responsibilities of this assignment, plus you will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year.
