Uniserve is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Seafreight Booking Controller to join our team. You'll play a key role in handling import bookings, liaising with origin agents, shipping lines, and our client base.

Do you have:

  • 2+ years' experience in seafreight?
  • Strong commercial skills and client relationship management?
  • Experience calculating costs and sales?
  • Incoterms knowledge?
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)?
  • Confidence liaising with clients and suppliers
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Confidence in meeting suppliers, clients, domestic or international.
  • The ability to travel domestically when required, international travel not essential.

What you will be doing:

  • Arrange client bookings with our overseas partners.
  • Manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for clients and partners.
  • Update internal systems and resolve customer queries.
  • Utilise One World operating system.
  • Manage carrier contracts and allocations.
  • Support the sales team (including rate updates) during holidays.
  • Train and develop the approvals team
  • Report on shipping line allocations.
  • Follow up on bookings within 48 hours.
  • Respond to email queries promptly.
  • Ensure cargo movement is cost-effective.
  • Work collaboratively and follow company procedures.
