Our Development work is split across two feature teams but we are looking to potentially create a third team to work on our brand new super secret Project X and we will be looking to you as our new Scrum Master to help us with that.
You will be reporting directly to the CTO to make sure that you have the authority and ability to affect real meaningful change across the business. You will also be working alongside our Product team to help them with prioritising and long-term planning of our strategic backlog (especially around the increase of new work around Project X).
We need a Scrum Master with high EQ to bring energy and enthusiasm to motivating the engineering team, while capable of gently steering them and the Product team in the right direction when necessary, without infringing on their remit.
You will be making sure that the development teams are not silo'd, that everyone is working to the agreed Sprints, the Dev team's time is being protected from outside disruptions and we have happy productive engineers!
You need to be a Scrum Master who LOVES Agile, understands WHY you use it, but not be blind to its challenges and potential pitfalls. As with everything, there will be blockers and bottlenecks but you would know which Scrum Master hat to put on to deal with it: sometimes you need to be our dragon slayer, sometimes our cheerleader, or maybe just a good empathetic listener.
This is an amazing chance for someone to join us on a permanent basis to become an integral part of a team and contribute! We are non-bureaucratic and have a fairly flat structure - our priority is on building user-focused products and trying things out, as opposed to getting bogged down in red tape. We have amazing offices that encourage collaboration, openness and cross-disciplinary work; we also do regular social events to which we invite our office neighbours as well to share with our friendly team.
