Temporary to Permanent Science Technician job in a secondary school in Northampton

Your new company
Hays Education is working with a secondary school in Northampton to recruit the an experienced Science Technician. This role is term-time only, 37 hours per week.

Your new role
You will be supporting the work of the teaching staff in the Science department. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the science laboratories, preparing the rooms, ensuring the equipment is in good working order, disposing of chemical waste and assisting with experiments.

What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Science Technician, you will need to have a passion for science, understand the importance of safety within laboratories, be able to work within a team and be highly organised. You will also be able to work well in a team and on your own initiative. You will also require excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
