Science Teacher

Location: Long Eaton, NG10

Daily Rate: £145 - £210 (paid to teacher scale)

Full Time: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Hours: 8:00am - 4pm

Start Date: June 2023 or September 2024

LTF Recruitment are working alongside a Secondary School based in Long Eaton who are looking to appoint a Teacher of Science to start either in June or September for the right candidate.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4
  • Differentiating planning to meet a range of needs
  • Delivering AQA KS4 examination content
  • Assessing children's work against the school's assessment framework
  • Liaising with the school SENCO around the progress of children with EHCPs
  • Attending weekly CPD sessions within school training programme

Candidate Requirements:

  • Holds qualified teacher status (ECTs Welcome)
  • Is confident teaching both KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum
  • Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies
  • Is passionate about teaching and keen to ensure that students make progress
