Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a secondary Science teacher, looking for a new supply teacher role in Trafford?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a knowledgeable teacher of science to join a large catholic academy in Trafford from April 2024 to July 2024.

The role is to fulfil a temporary vacancy for the summer term until their new teacher starts in September.

The Role

Teacher of Science

Delivery of biology, chemistry, and physics with a focus on innovative practical lessons

Positive confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning.

Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of students

The timetable is largely key stage 3 but the school are able to include year 10 and year 11 classes for specific sciences depending on the successful applicants skills.

The school have a small but very successful sixth form college and teachers with A level teaching experience are welcome to offer their expertise if required.

The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career science teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with relevant Key stage 3 and 4 experience.

To join us and be successful in this Science Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
