Your new company
This school is a mixed, 11 - 18 comprehensive school based in Cheshire and educates over 700 pupils from the local area. They are predominately an English-medium school however they do also offer a Welsh first language stream. Pupils attending the school come from a range of social backgrounds, ranging from relatively prosperous to economically disadvantaged. Due to absence of a permanent member of staff they are recruiting for a Science teacher for the final half-term of the academic year.
Your new role
Starting in January you will work as part of a strong Science department and will be responsible for teaching a timetable for KS3 and KS4 Science classes, full-time five days per week. You will have full teaching responsibilities including planning and preparation of lessons, marking and assessment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience of teaching WJEC Science. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a daily pay rate of between £85 - £120 per day and have the opportunity to teach your own timetable and deliver improvement and results for your own classes.
