Hays Education are delighted to be working on behalf of an Ofsted 'Good with elements of outstanding' Birmingham secondary school in Great Barr to recruit for a temporary Science teacher to start immediately. This is a full time teaching role up to KS5 and may result in a long term job offer.
Your new school
This Academy based in Perry Barr has an exceptional new school building which opened in 2010 and offers state of the art facilities. Staff and students enjoy their environment and begin their day with a complimentary breakfast. Academic achievements are impressive 75% GCSE 5+A*-C including Maths and Science (significantly above national targets). Your new role
In your new secondary teaching job you will be expected to plan interesting and challenging Science lessons that will engage pupils and you will have the natural ability to deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm. You will need to be experienced teaching up to KS5 and be familiar with the current curriculum. Due to the nature of the role it is offered as a 'paid to scale' post (MPS/UPS). The role is offered on a temporary basis but will be advertised as a permanent role later in the year for all candidates to apply.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold UK QTS. You will be an experienced Science Teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent teaching role and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer.
