School Principal - Myanmar

We are currently recruiting for an American school in Myanmar, who is seeking a School Principal to join this June 2024 for next academic year. Seeking a Principal who has trained in either USA, UK or Canada, who are open minded, adaptable and interested in living and working in the Far East. The school is a new, fully equipped school in a state-of-the-art building that is focused on provide a high-quality educational experience to their students at an affordable cost. Students at this school will develop into creative, critically thinking, effective communicators, life-long learners and global citizens.

The Principal of this American school will serve as an educational leader, responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the school, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and promoting high standards of academic excellence. They provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and effective management to support the school's mission and goals.

As school Principal your key responsibilities with be, Educational Leadership, Strategic Planning and Management, Curriculum Development and Assessment, Student Support and Discipline as well as, Community Engagement and Communication.

To be suitable for the role you must have the following:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership roles, preferably in an international school setting.
• Demonstrated success in leading school improvement efforts, implementing innovative educational practices, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of American educational standards, curriculum frameworks, and accreditation processes.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and promote cultural competence and inclusivity.
• Valid administrative certification/license.

This role offers an excellent package of:

1. Between $4,000 - $6,000 USD per month

Cost of living in Myanmar is very low and you can live very comfortably spending only $500 USD a month, giving you a great opportunity to save.

The school is located in the Sagaing Region of Myanmar, close to one of the largest economic cities in the country. It is also known as Neem city because many of the city's streets are lined with Neem trees. Unrest in Mynamar has calmed down over the last few years and the locals teat foreigners in the country very well. As an expat living and working there you will need to be able to adapt to your new surroundings and cultures.
