Accelerate Teaching is seeking a dedicated and dynamic School Administrator to join our team at a vibrant Secondary School in Wakefield. This pivotal role is integral to the smooth operation of our educational establishment, ensuring efficiency and excellence in administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks within the school office, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and dealing with enquiries from students, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, academic progress, and personal details, using our electronic database systems.
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, and appointments, liaising with staff and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and organisation.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team with administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, organising schedules, and facilitating communication between departments.
  • Assist with financial administration, including processing invoices, handling petty cash, and reconciling accounts under the guidance of the Finance Manager.
  • Oversee the procurement and distribution of school supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safeguarding requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role within an educational setting is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and friendly manner.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and school management software.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A commitment to upholding the values and ethos of the school, promoting a positive learning environment for all.
