What is special about this opportunity?
Maes-Y-Dderwen is an 18-bed scheme for young people aged 16-25, providing medium to low support accommodation. Our clients may have led difficult lives and as a result display a range of complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol and substance misuse, mental health, NEET and offending behaviour. The scheme provides 24-hour support for young people to build and develop their skills and confidence so they can be resettled and maintain their own tenancy within the Caerphilly Borough area.

This is a permanent post at 36 hours per week and the actual salary for this role is £16,377. There is a rolling rota which mainly involves waking nights and some weekend days.
For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.
How can I make a difference?
This opportunity can be a stepping stone to a rewarding career in support. You will act as a first point of contact and a role model for the young people we support. You will build positive relationships by helping them make a transition into independent living and advise on move on options. You will provide advice with budgeting and money management, including welfare benefits, as well as support them in a practical way, with regards to day to day living skills.
