SAP Implementation Finance Leader

Are you a strategic and results-driven SAP Implementation Finance specialist who is looking for their next high-profile project? A blue-chip organisation based in Essex are looking for a driven finance leader to oversee all aspects of a SAP implementation project within the finance domain.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of finance professionals, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring the successful integration of SAP finance modules into their existing systems and processes.

This assignment is expected to take up to nine-months but has plenty of scope to be extended past this.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of SAP finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive implementation strategy, timeline, and budget in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance, IT, and business leaders, to gather requirements, define business processes, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the project team, including project managers, business analysts, and consultants, to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Lead change management efforts to drive user adoption and acceptance of new processes and systems.
• Develop and deliver training programs and materials to support end-user training and enablement.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls throughout the implementation process.
• Drive post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement efforts to optimize system performance and user satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience leading SAP implementation projects within the finance domain, including hands-on experience with SAP finance modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Finance).
• Proven track record of successful project delivery, including project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and drive for results.
