Samples Team Leader

Due to exceptional growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client in Swadlincote for a Samples Team Leader to join their expanding team on a Permanent basis.

As a Team Leader for the Samples Department, you will be part of a growing division within the Company and will lead a team of Sample Technicians to enable efficient processing of sample requests. You will ensure that all product samples are prepared and despatched on time, monitor the samples process and requirements whilst taking the department to the next level!

Samples Team Leader Details & Benefits;

• £28-30k per annum dependant on experience

Samples Team Leader Job Details;

• Operate systems to process sample requests, access products/ingredients stock availability and prepare shipments
• Manage the laboratory stock of ordered samples, control encapsulation, containers/dispensers, product labels, and packaging comply with product safety and transportation regulations
• Organise the department workload, managing the lab area and tasks outside of sample requests
• Monitor sample stocks and product rotation and dispose of obsolete materials
• Process simple shipments via DHL or FEDEX
• Prepare all necessary technical documentation required for transportation and customs clearance (for international shipments)
• Liaise with QC, planning and production for lab stock replenishment and availability
• Communicate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Science and Innovation and Commercial to solve customer complaints related to e.g. product availability, quality and shipping delays
• Manufacturing product on a small scale for sample requests

Samples Team Leader Person Specification;

• A vocational diploma (pre-university level)
• 2+ years of experience in logistics within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of logistics and distribution processes
• Knowledge of product safety and transportation regulations
• Knowledge of customs regulations
• Strong excel skills to develop existing monitoring tools to manage stock and customer orders
