Michelle Denny Recruitment is delighted to continue working alongside Darégal Gourmet, who are a well-established market leader in providing culinary ingredients throughout the UK. Located in Long Stratton, Norfolk. Darégal Gourmet is currently seeking a full time Dispatch Coordinator for a permanent position to join their team and work within their samples department. Salary package (which includes a generous array of benefits) is according to your experience and the hours of work are a weekly, 37.5, Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5pm with an hour for lunch.

This position provides a unique opportunity to combine administrative duties with hands-on involvement in dispatch responsibilities, wrapped up in one role. You’ll be working independently at times, both in an office & chilled/frozen environment; the best of both worlds if you enjoy mixing both admin & physical tasks (and don’t mind the cold).

This is a key role within the business; you will be the initial point of contact for clients ordering samples, so this will be your opportunity to make a positive impact with your friendly, polite, and efficient manner. Your time will be spent liaising with customers and colleagues, preparing product packs, and organising their delivery. A full job description is available, with a snapshot of responsibilities below:

·      Working in Frozen (between -18° to -22°) and Chilled (between 3° to 5°) areas, preparing, packaging, organising, and storing product samples (PPE provided)

·      Confirming customer samples have reached their destinations safely. 

·      Maintaining and recording of sample stock levels

·      Accurately processing sample requests and arranging delivery through third parties to our customers 

·      Keeping the data system up to date

·      Organising replenishment of stock and repacking into 200g sample portions

·      Collaboratively work with their suppliers and business partners to manage efficient stockholding to meet their customers’ demands.

·      Supporting the Customer Services team as needed

You’ll need:


·      A professional, personable nature with the efficiency to consistently meet their customers’ needs.

·      Understanding and knowledge to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Excel training can be provided).

·      Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.

·      To be comfortable operating in a cold environment regularly throughout the day (averages out to approx. 45 minutes a day) and have the physical capacity of lifting 15kg boxes.

·      Previous experience within a customer service, retail, warehouse or dispatch environment would be a benefit but not essential.
