As Rural Surveyor in the Utilities & Renewables department, you will assume responsibility for delivering land referencing for pipeline and utility projects, liaise with landowners to secure project access, land reinstatement, and negotiate compensation claims for some of the largest renewable projects in Scotland.

Key Tasks:

  • Acquisitions, utility, and CPO related work
  • Liaise directly with clients, their staff, and other professional advisors
  • Negotiation of a variety of land transactions, including sales, purchases, compensation claims, servitudes/wayleaves
  • Creation of records of condition
  • Maintaining a concise record of landowner issues and relaying these to project teams
  • Progress reporting of land issues and attending weekly/monthly project meetings
  • Identifying work opportunities and establishing contacts with existing and potential clientsand other professionals.

Essential Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified with PQE in infrastructure, utilities, and/or renewable surveying role
  • A background in rural practice
  • Experience in delivering and managing multiple projects
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation
  • UK driving licence
