We are seeking a residential support worker to work in safe and homely environment for children and young people between 7-19 who may have EMSH and /or Autism.
Ideally, we are looking for people with previous experience but what we really want is an outgoing attitude, dedication to making a difference and to share our commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
This is a whole year role and you'll be working on a shift system including early, late and weekend shifts. Applicants should have a Level 3 Diplomas in Children or Young People's Workforce or willingness to undertake this qualification within a robust timescale.
Salary will increase after successful completion of Induction Framework and Probationary period of up to £20,007. There is opportunity to further progress under this Framework achieving a maximum salary of £21,598 expected within 6-12 months. For this role we are offering either 37.5 or 45-hour contracts so salary will vary dependent on your contractual hours.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
" Ideally have Level 3 Diplomas in Children or Young People's Workforce or willingness to undertake this qualification within a robust timescale.
" Experience working with a children's home or similar setting.
" Experience working with children with emotional, social and mental health needs who may have challenging behaviour.
" Have excellent communication skills
" Be a strong team player and the ability to remain calm under pressure
" Be flexible and resilient and be able to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
" A strong "can do" attitude
" Have own transport
For all roles we require a minimum of two references. References provided must cover the last 5 years.
Please be advised that references will be requested prior to interview for all roles within our schools.
