You will join us as a Research Scientist responsible for the research and development of C-Ion supercapacitor materials and structures to increase voltage, lifetime and energy density of devices.

Research Scientist Responsibilities:

In this role you will be in charge of the development of novel, non-aqueous energy storage mechanisms whilst handling the optimisation of the interaction between electrodes and electrolyte to improve performance. You will design and develop aqueous / organic electrode inks and the coating processes for forming electrodes from inks. Finally, you will test and evaluate the various materials for their suitability.

Research Scientist Requirements:

It is essential that you hold a PhD in Scientific or Engineering discipline with relevant experience in energy storage technologies accompanied with hands-on experience in Electrochemical techniques, ink and slurry formulations, coating techniques. Extensive knowledge of the application of nano materials to energy storage systems is needed as well as proven skills in materials characterisation techniques such as high-resolution electron microscopy, BET, PSD, etc.
