Job Description

To support the Rent and Nomination Manager and internal and external colleagues to ensure appropriate rents are set for all new schemes coming through the approval process.

To support the Rent and Nomination Manager and internal and external colleagues to ensure appropriate and regulatory compliant rents are set for all schemes coming through the approval process and re-let rent setting.

Support the annual review of rent and service charges with our external suppliers and internal Stakeholders.

What you will be doing:
  • Rent review ahead of the second stage of our internal scheme approval process - Check all comments made at stage one is closed off
  • Rent reappraisal pre handover for sign off by the Rent and Nominations Manager
  • Update Brolly (our internal Housing Management System) with finalised Rent figures in advance of letting.
  • Performance reports - valuation movement quarterly report and KPI's
  • Maintain rent dashboard in liaison with Finance colleagues
  • Keeping rent setting models up to date to support rent appraisals and SDR reporting
  • Re-Let rent assessments
  • Contribute to internal and external audit and regulatory returns.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience of rent setting.
  • Solid understanding of the importance of building and maintaining relationships for the mutual benefit of all external and internal parties.
  • An understanding of key rent setting legislation within the affordable housing sector.
  • Knowledge and experience of affordable housing sector.
  • Ability to work proactively and manage deadlines.
  • Experience of working with Housing Management Systems and an understanding of the importance of keeping the information in such systems up to date.
  • Interest in developing systems to support the business with rent setting and reporting.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a growth mind set and the ability to think on their feet.
  • A highly organised, self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and opportunity.
  • An agile and creative approach to relationship-building and problem solving.
  • A great communicator who can deliver key messages with confidence.
  • Decisive whilst working at a quick pace.
  • Comfortable working outside the defined areas of your role to help LGAH develop.
  • A focus on the customer and how your areas of responsibility promote the L&G brand.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines in a calm and methodical manner.
  • Excel at intermediate level.
  • Ability to balance the needs of the Business with the needs of the customer.
