VACANCY (Post Title): Registered Children’s Nurse
Acute Paediatrics, DGRI.
GRADE: Band 5
SALARY: £22,440 to £29,034 pro-rata
Description of Role:
We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated band 5 Registered children’s nurses who will be able to work within the multi-disciplinary team of an acute paediatric ward within a District General hospital, which look after sick children under sixteen.
The successful applicants will work between the acute ward, Paediatric short stay assessment unit and children’s outpatient department. The post holder may also be expected to work within the neonatal unit when required. The post holders will be required to be flexible with the hours in which they will be able to work and will be expected to work shifts.
The children’s ward has been involved in the Maternity and children’s quality improvement collaborative (MCQIC) programme and you will be required to participate in the ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
The post holders will possess a nursing qualification and will be expected to participate in further education and training to enhance personal and professional development within the speciality.
The post holders will be expected to participate in ongoing development within the unit. The post holders should have an understanding of multi- agency working and should have knowledge and of local child protection guidelines and policies.
The post holders will be expected to work shifts e.g. early shifts, late shifts, night shifts and twilight shifts when required.
