Registered Children's Home Manager

Posted 23 February by Health & Social Care Jobs Ltd

We're looking for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager in Sheffield to join our client in running a Children's Home that is a haven four children and young adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Who you'll be working for
Our client is a wonderful, long standing company, set up around the belief that children and young adults with learning disabilities deserve every chance to grow and develop. They exercise a unique holistic and open-minded approach, enabling and encouraging individuals to be themselves and fulfil their dreams. They want a registered manager who believes in that as fiercely as they do, and who will run a home where the children in their care can flourish.

The home has five beds for children with learning disabilities and autism, and is dedicated to encouraging them to have rich and fun filled lives whilst encouraging them to obtain degrees of independence. At the heart of any good home is the Registered Manager, and we're looking for someone who is confident they understand everything it takes to make such a home a success- from training staff, to maintaining a budget, to being a shoulder to cry on for children under emotional stress.

Pay & Hours
Pay is £30,000 per annum, and you'll be working office hours full time, with some out of hours work and shifts of being on call, so we're looking for someone who is willing to be flexible in their approach to work.

What at the requirements?
You will need to be registered with OFSTED and have at least 2 years experience as a manager or deputy manager working with children and young adults. If you have experience with Makaton this is highly desirable, although not essential.
