This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a very prestigious client of ours who is based near Bishop’s Stortford. They are looking to recruit a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for the company and to provide administrative support across the organisation. The successful individual will need to be professional, well-presented and a well-spoken individual who will be mainly the first point of contact for our clients.


  • To provide a professional reception, front of house and administrative service for our client. The post-holder will be part of the Professional Support team who provide administrative assistance to all departments across the practice.
  • To deliver high standard of administrative support and world class customer service in line with our client’s strategies, policies and procedures
  • To maintain client confidentiality and observe data protection and other legislative and organisational responsibilities



  • Answering and forwarding phone calls
  • Screening phone calls
  • Meeting and greeting clients and other business visitors
  • Keeping meeting rooms clean, tidy and stocked
  • Arranging additional facilities needed for client meetings (e.g. sandwiches, making lunch bookings)
  • General office maintenance
  • Ordering and maintaining adequate stationery levels
  • Ordering and maintaining general supplies for kitchen and office
  • Opening, scanning, logging and allocating incoming post
  • Collating outgoing post, scanning and franking
  • Arranging couriers
  • General scanning and filling
  • Assistance with general administrative tasks
  • Sending letters of authority and chasers to product providers when required
  • Typing if required
  • Keeping back-office systems up-to-date with relevant information
  • Assisting with administrative tasks when administration team members are sick or on holiday to ensure that essential client work is dealt with
  • Maintenance of Client Birthday Card and Christmas Card Lists and organisation of timely posting of cards
  • Other duties as directed by management

Person Specification

  • Professional, well-spoken and organised
  • Reception and front of house experience essential
  • Front of House experience desirable
  • Computer literate
  • Able to multi task

Salary: Competitive

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (can be a little flexible)
