EYFS (Reception) Class Teacher 

Location: North Reddish

Salary Scale:  M1-M6 PayScale 

Start Date: ASAP – Maternity Cover 

GSL Education are working with a an outstanding primary school in North Reddish who need a Reception Class Teacher to start as soon as possible. This school has a maternity cover available. This is a lovely primary school at the heart of the local community that has a great reputation amongst parents. As class teacher you will be responsible for creating and delivering outstanding lessons including phonics. You will be expected to create an inclusive environment that caters to all pupils’ educational needs with a collaborative approach to teaching. 

Key Requirements: 

  • Delivering high-quality, creative lessons that cater to the individual needs of each child
  • Creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Assessing and tracking student progress to ensure each child reaches their full potential
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging cross-curricular activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour management strategies and fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and inclusivity within the classroom.

The successful candidate will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • A strong understanding of child development and early years pedagogy, including the EYFS framework.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for working with young children.
  • The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and a commitment to reflective practice.
