They work with like-minded business owners who run accountancy firms which have embedded cloud accounting into their business. These businesses are looking to (1) increase revenue from existing clients (2) attract a larger bracket of client (3) to offer a more extensive tax service (4) systemise their tax services.

What you need to know:

Reporting to: Director team

Hours: Full time - flexible working - subject to core hours on Mon-Fri for internal and external calls/meetings/collaboration.

Location: Remote, home working with ad hoc in person meet ups in the Greater Manchester area

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working alongside our existing R&D tax specialist, you will:

  • Onboard, consult, process and deliver R&D tax relief claims for SMEs ijn line with recent and future legislative changes
  • Liaise with introducing accountants to qualify leads, review client banks and discuss cases
  • Continuously develop the delivery templates, processes and systems to further improve the delivery of the R&D service
  • Work closely with our admin support team to prepare and deliver cases, manage caseloads, the delivery pipeline, and report periodically on case numbers and related financials
  • Review and interpret financial data relating to claims, including via Xero and / or statutory accounts.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the legislation and guidance, to advise clients
  • Keep abreast of changes in the legislation and guidance, to support the updates to the suite of products and services that relate to R&D
  • Work with the directors and marketing teams on strategy and growth of the R&D function

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum ATT qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Previous experience of delivering R&D claims for SMEs (minimum 2 years)
  • Previous experience of managing a bank of clients/ client facing role (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience of working closely with accountants is preferred
  • Previously worked in a customer service role.
