A successful Point-of-Care Rapid Diagnostics Technology company based in Bedfordshire have a brand-new vacancy for an ambitious scientist (Biochemist /biologist/ Chemist or similar) within their thriving R&D team. Joining as a R&D Scientist the Biochemist / Chemist etc will use their technical background in immunoassay's to work on novel R&D projects undertaking a range of experimental assay development activities including concept generation, design, testing and implementation. This is exciting opportunity for a Biochemist / Chemist / Biologist who wants to join a company offering exceptional training & career development opportunities.

The R&D Scientist will be a key figure in technical project R&D teams. Working alongside a fabulous team of industry experts they will technically contribute to ground-breaking product development projects surrounding the company's PoC technology.

Requirements R&D Scientist - Assay Development

Education -

  • An undergraduate degree (BSc/NA) 2.1 or above in a relevant subject Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biosciences, Biology or related subject.

Experience -

  • At 1-2+ years in a commercial R& D laboratory.
  • Good Understanding of multiple assay formats perhaps including:
  • Electrochemical systems
  • Lateral flow
  • ElISA
  • EIA
  • Experience of working to regulatory standards (i.e. ISO 13485)
