Location: Manchester
Salary: £45k - £55k + £5k car allowance

The role - Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be a key part of the team and will report into the Senior QS & Commercial Manager overseeing the project. The initial project in a large £45m student accommodation development in the centre of Manchester and you will be responsible for the following duties (including but not limited to):

• Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
• Cost reporting.
• Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
• Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
• Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
  

Required experience:

• A degree/equivalent qualification (HNC/HND).
• At least 2-5 years' Post Grad experience.
• Preferably worked within a main contractor.
