My client is a leading construction consultancy working on some of Europe's largest building and engineering projects and have successfully managed projects across a variety of public, private and utility sectors. My client are seeing an experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor that will manage the cost plans for new projects and ensure consistency of service delivery and to identify opportunities for developing both the quality and profitability of the service. Due to their expansion of hotel projects portfolio means they need an experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor to work on a range of new build and refurbishment hotel, retail and education projects.
Candidates must be degree qualified and be MRICS qualified (or equivalent). They should have experience of building projects, including hotels and retail projects. Previous experience of carrying out the role of Employer’s Agent and/or Project Management is desirable.
The Successful Applicantwill have in excess of 5 years PQE and have had previous PQS experience within construction consultancy, ideally with high value projects within Leisure, Hotel or high end residential for planned projects this year. Also to ensure that control procedures are in place and adhered to in all areas of the UK business.
Strong leadership and people management skills, able to challenge, coach, motivate and influence clients, suppliers and internal teams and in-depth knowledge and understanding of similar projects is a MUST.
The successful candidate will be a client facing team player, confident working under pressure to strict deadlines with minimal supervision. Good communication skills are essential. Candidates must demonstrate a track record (supported by relevant references) of personally managing projects up to £5m and working as part of a team on projects in the range £5m to £40m.
