Quality Inspector
Here at Impact we are recruiting for a Quality Inspector for one of our manufacturing clients based in Northampton that specialise in providing components to primarily the Aerospace, F1, Marine, Automotive and Gas & Oil industries. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing processes.
Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 (DoE)
Location: Northampton
Hours: Days
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
- Collaborate with production teams to address any quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures.
- Provide feedback and support to manufacturing teams to enhance product quality.
- Identify and report any non-conformities, and work towards continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate and run both Romer Arm 3D Scanners & programmable CMM machines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a relevant engineering industry.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and gauges.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations.
- A good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancing.
- Experience working with 3D scanners and CMM machines.
- Knowledge and experience of non-destructive-testing.
