FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment for a position for Quality Assurance Manager (piping) working in manufacturing.  This is a permanent role with salary commensurate with experience, based in Southampton, working Monday to Friday (Friday early finish).  Opportunity with this role for further growth within the company.  Experience from working either in petrochemical, oil and gas, power, water or pharma work environments an advantage for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead role in management of the company Quality Management system
  • Providing advice and leadership, working with clients, suppliers and internal manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in driving the business forward, delivering projects, meeting tight fabrication schedule deadlines
  • Maintain company standards and accreditations eg P.E.D, CE, UKCA, ASME U &R
  • Ensuring that all codes and industry standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Create and maintain technical files including inspections test plan implementation
  • Undertake quality and supplier audits and reviews
  • Liaison with operational and procurement functions for material and product specifications
  • Lead investigations and remedial actions for quality failures should they occur.

Skills and Experience required for the Quality Assurance Manager role:

  • Have relevant experience in similar role.
  • Have knowledge/experience of  Pipe work ASME codes and PED requirements

A sound understanding, working knowledge and experience of the following:

  • Pressure vessel codes ASME VIII & PD5500.
  • ASME U & R stamp.
  • Pipe work codes ASME B31.3 / ASME B31.1
  • P.E.D requirements including CE and UKCA Marking.
  • Welding standards to ASME IX & BS 15614
