Quality and Compliance Manager

Job Description

Our client based in Gateshead are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality management system and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the organisation.

Duties

• To Manage, monitor, and develop the QMS to ensure that products and services meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Monitor and evaluate internal processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Leading, and assisting in the delivery of 3rd party audits including but not limited to BRCGS Storage & Distribution.
• Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Manage documentation related to quality and compliance processes, including SOPs, quality manuals and training documentation.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on quality and compliance requirements.
• To analyse data and quality metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement.

Required knowledge, skills or experience

• It is essential that you have experience of a similar role and ideally in a food handling / manufacturing environment.
• Experience of BRCGS Storage & Distribution, and ideally internal auditor training to this standard.
• HACCP level 3 training or above.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• A good knowledge of, or experience of Health & Safety practices including risk assessment processes would be an advantage, but not essential.
• Experience of working to the ETI base code would be an advantage, but not essential.
• MS Office competency.

Additional Information

Location: Gateshead

Hours of work: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Rates of pay: £38000 per year
