Qualified Social Worker - LADO - Darlington
Our client, Darlington Borough Council is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work as a Safeguarding Boards Development Officer/ Local Authority Designated Officer
You will contribute to the development, co-ordination, and production of relevant policies, protocols, procedures and guidance to safeguard children and adults by working along side the Business Manager.
To be considered for this role you must have: -
*A degree in Social Work
*Hold a full HCPC registration
*Two years post graduate experience in a relevant team
*Experience of safeguarding with knowledge and experience of interpreting legislation, policy or procedures
*Experience of identifying learning and development needs
*Knowledge and understanding of the roles and functions of the LSCB and SAB
*Be eligible to work in the UK
*Hold a full UK driving licence and business insurance
The role will involve: -
*To support the functions and priorities of the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and the Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB).
*To fulfil the statutory functions relating to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).
*To assist in ensuring the Boards are effective multi-agency forums, creating positive outcomes for vulnerable children and adults.
