Qualified Social Worker | Long Term Child Protection Work | Reading, Berkshire

A Qualified Social Worker with current Child Protection experience is needed to join a locality team based in Reading.

Pay rate: £38 per hour

To be considered, you must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work Degree or equivalent) as well as at least 3 years post qualified experience working as a Qualified Social Worker within a similar team.

You must be experienced in section 47, Court Work, Child Protection and managing a significant caseload.

The teams work is generic and long term, working with children from 0-18 years, in order to provide as much continuity for children and young people as possible. Caseloads include children on Child Protection Plans, Looked After Children, Court Proceedings, children to be placed for Adoption and SGOs and some Children in Need. Reading has a caseload weighting system, which takes into account levels of experience.
