QC Analyst - Chemist -Pharmaceutical- Herts- £23k-£25k- 12 Month Contract

A growing pharmaceutical business require a QC Analyst to join its site in Hertfordshire on a 12 month contract. Your role will be to undertake analytical testing of raw materials, bulk and finished products for both commercial manufacture and a development environment in a fully GMP compliant manner. You will have a degree in Chemistry (or related subject) and ideally some commercial lab experience.

Role Responsibilities:

Your role as a QC analyst will be varied, however the key responsibilities are as follows:

*Undertake analytical testing of raw materials, bulk and finished products for both commercial manufacture and a development environment in a fully GMP compliant manner;
*Carry out analysis in accordance with prescribed protocols using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, Karl Fischer to include generation, interpretation and reporting of data;
*Participate in compiling and reviewing documentation for laboratory systems (SOPs, Work Instructions).

Experience Required:

Essential:
*Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant chemistry based subject;
*High attention to detail; the successful candidate will be organised and methodical in their approach;
*Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
*Ability to work as part of a small team and independently.

Desirable:
*Some analytical experience, but we are willing to consider recent graduates, particularly if they have undertaken industrial placement;
*Experience of instrumental techniques including HPLC, GC, and FTIR;
*Experience of LIMS and CDS systems;
*Knowledge of EP/BP/USP methods.
