Life as a QA Test Analyst at CEF:

As a QA Test Analyst at CityIT you will be an integral part of our new Workday implementation project.

In the longer term you will play a significant role towards the company vision of moving the existing windows based CEF bespoke systems to a modern SaaS application(Workday) along with the introduction and nurturing of innovation within.

You’ll be used to working on a broader view of QA, ideally with integrations and experience working with complex ERP or finance systems.

You’ll be part of our Global Finance IT team that work collaboratively across our UK and USA teams to deliver best-in-class finance systems used by the whole organisation.

Your Objectives:

• Creation and execution of test scripts, recording the outcome, and creating and escalating defects and tracking issues to completion
• Hands on testing of all parts of a Windows based ERP system
• Working in a cross functional team of other software testers, business analysts andsubject-matter-experts to understand and document the existing system
• Collaborating with members of the development team to provide Test feedback and specific test outcomes
• Testing of interfaces and integration with other modules, products or sites
• Preparation and execution of test plans and test scripts, along with amending and updating of test materials with a mindset for continuous improvement
• Performing static testing and impact assessment of Design and Change Request documentation

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience performing manual tests on Windows based systems in an Agile environment
• Excellent attention to detail, able to effectively track, report and resolve quality issues
• Understanding of software specification requirements, and the ability to interpret acceptance criteria and derive tests accordingly
• Experience testing the integration points between modules, applications and systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Microsoft Teams call with our Global Head of Finance IT, Software Engineering Lead and Global Test and Assurance Practice Lead (90 mins)

Location

Our Finance IT Team like to get together in the Durham office on occasion. This is optional and the role is predominantly home based however there may be some required travel to the Durham or Kenilworth office for team meetings and other events.
