My client is a highly successful manufacturing business, that is going through a period of planned growth and requires an experienced Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Manager to assist with the progression. This is a new, stand alone position which offers an excellent opportunity to develop and expand the role as the business develops. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing.
The successful candidate will have experience in the implementation of quality, health & safety and environment management systems, ideally ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification. You will be the main person responsible for the effective management and continuous development of QA, HSE and environmental standards and systems across the site in order to ensure compliance with current internal and external standards and legislation.
You will have the ability to effectively identify areas for improvement, continuously monito and maintain processes and procedures against agreed standards and initiate all corrective actions through to closure.
As part of your role you will be required to actively promote a positive QHSE culture within the company through advice, support and implementation of an integrated management system.
Applicants must have proven working experience in a similar role in manufacturing or production environment and should ideally be IOSH/NEBOSH qualified.
There will be a need to liaise with internal and external customers as well as team members from the group. This interaction at various times may well involve travel to France or Germany.
A positive attitude, leading by example and the ability to work as part of a team, to help develop the team from within, is essential for success in this role.
Ideally degree qualified with 5 years successful experience in a similar role.
