Our client is a leading provider of products to the automotive sector and other industries. They currently employ around 100,000 people across 30 countries and their UK head office is based in North Staffordshire.

They are currently seeking someone to join their purchasing team in order to support the Head of Project Purchasing by co-ordinating data and information in preparation for Request for quotes.

The role is very data driven and will involve lots of liaison with other departments in the UK and overseas in order to accurately compile the correct information.

Duties will include:

  • Represent Purchasing for assigned project quotes/projects development in various meetings
  • Support and represent Purchasing in regular Project Risk and Assessment reviews for assigned quotes/projects
  • Analyse project documentation, request missing information and prepare work packages for Category Purchasing
  • Ensures the on-time-completion Purchasing dedicated working packages for assigned quotes/projects

Requirements

  • Ideally educated to Degree Level or equivalent or possess proven experience working in a Purchasing or Project role
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently collate and report on information
  • Team player
  • Excellent IT skills in particular Excel and MS Office
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to working in a high pressure environment with tight deadlines
