Are you an experienced Buyer / Senior Buyer? Have you worked in manufacturing? Do you have or are you studying towards your CIPS qualification?

Working as part of a small team, you'll join this highly respected manufacturer as their new Consumables Buyer. Further progression offered in this department.

About You

• It's essential that you have at least 3 years experience as a Buyer - sourcing, negotiating and purchasing..
• You'll be from manufacturing - the corporate world is not your bag.
• You should be a strong negotiator and confident liaising with suppliers regularly by telephone.
• An MCIPS qualification is essential or at the very least studying towards (non-negoitiable)
• You need to be tech savvy and ideally have used SAP or a similar ERP system.
• You will be resilliant and able to make your mark, at the same time being a team player.
• You must be able to commit to working onsite Monday to Friday.

About The Job

• You'll join as the sole Buyer, managing the purchase of consumables for the site; over time you may also purchase for other UK sites.
• The role will involve contract management, supplier accreditation and vendor approvals.
• You'll source new products and new suppliers, ensuring best price, quality and cost at all times.
• It will be your responsibility to lead supplier audits.
• We're looking for someone who will challenge the status quo and who wants to make changes.
