MTrec’s New Opportunity;

We are proudly representing our manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking for a new Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Working as part of their Purchasing department, you will support the team in the delivery of its tactical and transaction work streams. The Job You’ll Do;

  • Updating the purchasing database
  • Ensuring on time delivery of products
  • General administration duties
  • Purchase goods, materials, components or services
  • Monitor inventory levels and safety stock using numerous reports.
  • Liaising with the finance department to resolve invoice queries quickly.
  • Liaising with stores/dispatch departments for cost or delivery variants.
  • Keep Sage system (MRP) up to date with regular checks to ensure correct information is available at all times

About You;

  • Must be experienced within a similar role, ideally in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong admin and competent IT skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and liaise with suppliers and partners via telephone or otherwise
