My client a well known organisation in Chesham Buckinghamshire are on the hunt for a detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join their small, friendly team to help navigate some exciting changes in their procurement and logistics processes as their business grows. Reporting to their newly-appointed Stock Controller, you'll play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Take charge of placing orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring everything arrives on time.
  • Logistics Support: Work closely with our logistics team to coordinate shipments and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Forecasting Assistance: Assist in forecasting inventory needs and keeping our shelves well-stocked.
  • Sourcing and Buying: Help us find the best suppliers and negotiate deals to keep costs down without sacrificing quality.
  • Stock Takes and Shortage Spotting: Pitch in with stock takes and keep an eye out for any shortages that might pop up.
  • Liaison with Sales and Production: Collaborate with our sales and production teams to ensure smooth operations and prevent out-of-stock situations.
  • Problem Solving: Roll up your sleeves and tackle any challenges that come your way, finding creative solutions to keep things on track.
  • All-Hands-on-Deck Attitude: In a small business, we all wear multiple hats, so be prepared to jump in wherever needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to embrace change.
  • Competent computer skills, preferably Excel

Reporting Structure:

You'll report directly to the Stock Controller and collaborate closely with teams across the organisation.

Conclusion:

they're offering £13 an hour for this full-time office-based position, with hours from 9 to 5:30
