Your new company are a market leader in their field and are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Your new role will include but not be limited to:
- Input of high volume invoices for various entities
- Checking for errors including entities, nominal ledger coding, analysis coding, currency, VAT code and correct supplier account selection
- Holding invoices not approved
- Weekly payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Validating VAT and Withholding Tax returns for accuracy
- Controlling contractor weekly and monthly invoices
- Maintaining control spreadsheet
- Liaising with contractors and agencies for missing invoices
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a purchase ledger role previously dealing with high volumes and values
- Experience of entering multi-currency and multi-company invoices
- Excellent data entry skills - speed and accuracy
- UK VAT knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Good working use of Microsoft Excel
