Adecco Chester are proudly recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work within the Finance department for our client who are an established haulage company based in Wrexham.

Pay rate: £14.35 to £15.38

Working hours: Temporary ongoing, full-time role (37.5 hrs), Monday to Friday, 09:00-5:00pm (potential to become permanent)

The role is based in Wrexham Industrial Estate.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of the organisation's accounts payable process.

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
  • Preparing payment runs and ensuring timely payment to suppliers
  • Monitoring and controlling purchase ledger accounts
  • Assisting with month-end close activities, including accruals and prepayments
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and resolving any invoice and payment queries
  • Contributing to the overall improvement of financial processes and systems

Key skills required:

  • Experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable roles
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Use of Sage 200 and CRM systems is desirable
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player
