Adecco Crewe are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a well established organisation in Nantwich.

This role is designed to oversee the registration, approval, and payment of invoices in a timely manner while managing suppliers and their queries. As Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will be responsible for 1/3 of supplier accounts within the organisation.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately registering incoming invoices into the AX system.
  • Matching invoices to COs and POs and resolving any unmatched documents and queries.
  • Developing excellent relationships with suppliers to address external queries promptly.
  • Setting up and maintaining new supplier accounts.
  • Preparing and checking supplier BACS payments and Bankline payments for foreign currencies.
  • Being the first point of contact for employee expense queries on SAP Concur.
  • Efficiently managing petty cash and recording costs and VAT in monthly journals.
  • Completing company credit card reviews and ensuring compliance with company policy.

Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have previous experience in Purchase Ledger. You should also possess excellent organisational skills, be proficient in using the MS Office package, especially MS Excel, and have a strong attention to detail. The ability to work to strict deadlines and approach tasks with a methodological and logical approach is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as is a polite, approachable, and professional manner.
