Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant - Psychology
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: £60-£75 (dependent on experience)
Are you a creative graduate in Psychology who has a passion for working with young people? Do you have a keen interest in developing your SEN understanding? Are you looking to gain experience in working with young people with social and mental health difficulties?
About the Role:
*Full time, February 2018 start.
*You will be required to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils with emotional and behavioral difficulties, including pupils who may sometimes be challenging on a physical level.
*Long term contract with the potential to go permanent.
*Working in a residential SEN school with students who have been diagnosed with Aspergers aged 8-18
PLEASE NOTE** We also work with multiple SEN and mainstream schools across the region where you may be a suitable candidate so if you are interested in working in an education background, then we encourage you to apply.
*Confident with behavior management skills.
*Punctual and reliable.
*Calm and resilient approach.
*A passion for helping young people progress and develop.
*Previous experience of working with challenging behavior and social, emotional and mental health difficulties is desirable.

*Two recent child based references and relevant DBS/Police checks.
