Property Owners Insurance Broker

An exciting opportunity for an experienced real estate / property owners insurance Broker / Account Handler.

In this role you will be a key member of a small team and work closely with industrial, commercial and residential property portfolio owners to place and service specialist landlords / property owners cover.

Overview

• Work closely with clients to offer support and guidance
• Understand insurance needs and identify suitable cover
• Negotiate with insurers for the best coverage and premium rates
• Ensure cover is fit for purpose
• Prepare and send cover / policy documents
• Ensure compliance with company and FCA regulations

• Prepare underwriting presentations for renewals and new business
• Identify and explore cross sales opportunities from other areas of the business
• Manage policy updates
• Respond to client queries
• Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with clients

Skill Set & Expertise

• Experience in the UK property owner's insurance arena is essential
• A proven track record in placing & servicing commercial landlords cover is preferable
• Ability to work closely with clients and provide support and guidance is vital

Key Attributes:

• Strong communication skills - written & verbal
• Ability to build rapport and relationships
• Self-motivation and good attention to detail is required
• Competent with IT - MS office & excel
• Ability to work on own initiative

What is on offer

• Salary of £45,000 to £47,500 + annual bonus
• Hybrid working flexibility
• Office located in East London (but may be some time required in central London Office)
