Role Purpose:

You will join the team in the National Underwriting Centre (NUC) in delivering a high quality service to our underwriters and brokers whilst practicing and developing technical capability and broader business skills in the Insurance Industry.

This is a key role created to support the Commercial Master Package team in line with the companies ambitious growth plans across the UKI and Mid-Market Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for the underwriting of renewal package and monoline business consisting of UK and Multinational Property, Casualty and Global Terrorism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwriting and processing of renewable mono property and package business up to premium of $250,000 in line with our underwriting appetite, authority limits and business plan.
  • Liaison with and participation at meetings with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders, face to face and virtually.
  • Navigating our Global Network in the placement of Multinational Programmes.
  • To meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business and compliance issues.
  • To work within the framework of the companies Code of Conduct, Compliance policies, Peer Review and within the framework of the protocols established by the Company.

Experience Required:

  • Ideally 3 years' experience in the insurance market is required together with a desire to develop your Property & Casualty knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will need to demonstrate a practical and common-sense approach to dealing with differing situations and an ability to tackle problems often against tight timeframes.
  • Interest in Multinational programs.
  • Minimum A level standard.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Expected to undertake "on the job" training. This may involve working in other offices.
  • Keen to embark on or working towards Cert CII qualifications.
