We are thrilled to announce our partnership with a new client at Cobalt, commencing this month. Our client is a dynamic commercial property investment and development firm currently seeking a talented Property Accountant to join their expanding team in Manchester. With ambitious plans to grow their portfolio to exceed £1 billion in value within the next five years, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of their journey.
Responsibilities:
- Execute all essential estate accounting tasks.
- Service charge accounting management.
- Process tenant charges and manage service charge accounting.
- Confirm adherence to internal accounting, legal, and RICS regulations.
- Handle accounts payable and credit control on an interim basis.
- Propose process improvements and changes.
- Support facilities and property managers with finance-related matters that relate to the managed portfolio.
- Coordinate accounting activities for the managed portfolio, including tenant account management, debtors, and financial analysis.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated track record in a similar role within the commercial property/real estate sector.
- Proven experience as a property client/service charge accountant with a solid understanding of broader accounting principles.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence and independence in discussing technical matters.
