Summary

My high-profile utilities client is looking for a Project Planner to join their team Based at their Warwick offices (2 day a week on site) on an initial 6-month contract with chance of extensions.

We are looking to welcome an experienced project planner to join our team supporting a high-visibility, high-investment, project in our strategic energy planning directorate. We are currently in Identify and ready to build and maintain a robust, validated, interrogable project plan, to support and drive the project through its full lifecycle and our expected transition to BAU end-2025. This is a single project role, with some dependencies into a wider programme of work. You will be working in a large project team and reporting into our PMO.

Expectation of deliverables and skills:

* Establish, maintain and control Project Plans with input of SMEs
* Skilled in creating detailed project plans and high-level milestones to keep projects on track
* Manage and track variances and change control once baselined
* Able to set up and maintain project structures for smooth execution
* Able to articulate and validate both the process and the plan
* Will lead energised and productive, well-managed, planning sessions with whole-team, workstreams, or peers and stakeholders.
* Ability to create visuals to support, communicate and socialise to key stakeholders - reflecting timeline, critical path, RAG, risk, due dates, overdue tasks, etc
* Provide guidance and advice to the project manager on the appropriate planning approach, tools and processes to be used, based on project requirements
* Identify future project capacity and capability needs where possible, and work with PMO to ensure strategies are in place
* Responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and quality of project data and reports
* Experience in reviewing project progress data, including schedules, resources, and costs, to make informed decisions
* Ability to influence, work independently and be part of an integrated multi-functional team
* Clear communication skills and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships with colleagues at all levels
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage conflicting demands
