Nigel Wight are delighted to be working with Castle & Coast Housing Association, that have 7500 homes in their portfolio spread across the North West and North East. Currently operating out of three main offices – Newcastle, Carlisle and Workington, with an exciting growth strategy in place to develop new homes across the coming years. They are looking for a Project Office Lead to join their business on an 18 Month FTC.

Responsibilities
  • This is a Fixed Term 18 month contract.
  • You will be responsible for the end to end project management of a portfolio of business improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered to scope, timescale and budget.
  • Deliver a programme of business improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring each project is controlled and delivered within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters, and that forecasted quantified benefits (financial and other) are realised
  • Pro-actively develop and maintain effective working relationships with project sponsors, senior suppliers, senior users as well as project team members and stakeholders
  • Assist in the definition of project business cases, scope, and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure process improvements are executed effectively
  • Assist in post-project implementation reviews to evaluate whether outcomes, financial and non-financial, were realised and assist in the implementation of lessons learned
  • Ensure policies, processes and procedures are updated, to reflect change, upon completion of each project

Person Specification:
  • Strong internal & external stakeholder management is essential to the role and the ability to support and drive project teams to deliver
  • A self starter with a proactive mindset in key. The ability to drive a project from cradle to grave and can demonstrate discipline with respect to core tenets of project management – planning (incl. resourcing and scheduling), management of internal and external stakeholders/suppliers, stage gate and change control management, risk/issue management
  • Regular review of the business case and associated benefits, and deliver timely communications.
  • Someone with experience of executing change management activity, tools and techniques would be advantageous.
