We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile banking clients. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join them for an initial 9-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension or even a more permanent opportunity.

Overview of the Role:

You will be joining the Fund Change team, part of the Investments Change Team to deliver projects within Insurance & Wealth division. From a product perspective we work across all funds (SWL and SWWS) however majority of the work sits within the SW Life & Pensions or ESG (Environmental, Sustainability & Governance) Responsible Investments space.

Typical projects include fund closures, fund launches, changes to fund charges, transferring assets, restructuring funds, changes to fund names, aims, objectives, risk profiles, mergers, share class conversions, suspensions and unsuspensions, and changes to fund managers. We also deliver investment related regulatory change projects.

Key Business Skills Required:

  • General understanding of Mutual Funds / L&P Funds
  • Knowledge of Fund Performance Analysis and Reporting
  • Experience of Fund Launch, Fund Changes, and Fund Closures
  • Experience of Asset / Fund transition
  • Product experience - Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives (ETD / Cleared / OTC)
  • Knowledge of Fund Pricing, Accounting, and other operational processes an advantage

Experience & Behaviours:

  • Experience leading and delivering change in a complex environment.
  • Experience in handling cost, timescale, quality for multiple projects.
  • Ability to control project finances, plans and dependencies for implementations.
  • Understanding of the requirements for project standards and documentation including timelines, status/risk/issue reporting and communication, exception reporting and artefact sign off.
  • Experience of building strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Manage, motivate and develop successful project teams.
  • Influence others by demonstrating and encouraging company values and behaviour.

Key Skill & Attributes:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to engage stakeholders to ascertain requirements, and supply deliverables and solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Good written communication skills to produce specifications and reports as required.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and frameworks of successful programme and project management, and the ability to adapt to suit the needs of the organisation and programme environment.
  • Experienced in managing own time and other resources to ensure delivery to agreed business plans within cost, quality and timescale objectives, ensuring that the benefits identified in the business case can be realised.
  • CFA / IMC qualification an advantage

Location:

This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from the clients Edinburgh office at least 2 days a week.

Working hours:

Standard working hours with some flex where required.
